The adventures of Greta furbanks

One beautiful sunny morning, Greta furbanks woke up to the lovely tweet of the birds.
She got out of bed,
and went to see how she looked for the day's play in the rose theatre in the dressing table mirror.
Then she went to find some clothes to wear.
She  hose a lovely flowery green dress ( which was one of here favorites).

At that moment, in the the next room, her mother and father are getting ready for a posh breakfast.
Fifteen minutes later, all the furbanks were at the breakfast table in the regency hotel.
They were staying in the hotel because they were on tour. A kind waiter called  mr Cheshire gave them everything they wanted. Greedy brother Douglas was eying those cakes.
It was time to leave, so everybody said goodbye and waved them off.
" shall we we walk, or take the bus? asked Kenneth. "I think we shall take the bus, so we can save our energy for performing." Said Emma.
They waited patiently for the bus that took them into town and when they got on, kind mrs bullrush moved down to the lower deck,
so that the furbanks could all sit at the top.
It was very exiting and it was the first time Douglas had been to town!
They walked past the blackcurrant café and Kenneth kindly got the children a nice healthy sandwich.
Despite the sun, it was actually rather cold so Emma put on her red cape and Kenneth put on his scarf and cap.
When everybody got in to the theatre, they had to paint all the scenery

and then everybody had to get changed into their costumes. First Greta put on some makeup
and then thought her pink and gold princess dress might look nice especially along with her golden tiara
but then she found an exquisite blue dress and a crown.
Then it was Douglas's turn.
" hmmm, these silky white trousers look good,
and along with this lovely navy cloak and red top, I look great!!"
Then
the show began!!
Greta was a great singer and Douglas loved his rose although the thorns
did prick his 'plush'.
At the end, everybody crowded around the two stars asking for autographs.
Then, when everybody had left, everybody,( except Emma because she was tidying the makeup ) started tiding up, and Kenneth swept up the roses that the audience had thrown onto stage.
That evening, back at the regency hotel, as Greta was going to bed, she said " that was very tiring "( hhaawnn ) then, as Emma was leaving the room, she reminded her daughter cheerily : " I know it was a long and tiring day Greta, but just remember, you'll have to do it all over again tomorrow."
OH     NO ." said Greta as Emma closed the door.

The end.
