The Great Sylvanian Bake-Off Episode 1

This is The Great Sylvanian Bake-Off 2015. 16 brave Sylvanian children think they have what it takes to win. But only one will arise victorious-   but who???...

"I am very passionate about cooking, which shows in my food. As I am the Dinner Lady at St. John's School, I also love children so that is why I created this programme many years ago!"says Mrs Patches, the main judge.

"Baking is what I do," says Christopher Appleblossom, who runs the Watermill Bakery."So when I was asked to judge the Great Sylvanian Bake-Off, I immediately said yes !"

"I run the Blackcurrant Café and we specialise in cakes! That's why I'm a special guest judge!" Madeleine Merryweather says.

Let's go to the Babblebrook Bay hotel to see who today's winner is...

"I'm glad you were all able to come today. Today's brief is to bake something in a paper case," announced Mrs Patches.

"You have 2 hours, starting now!"said Christopher Appleblossom.

"So Esme, what are you baking for us today?"asked Madeleine Merryweather kindly. "I'm making muffins filled with cream and strawberry jam."replied Esme. "That sounds nice!"said Mrs Patches, with Christopher Appleblossom nodding his head in agreement.

"Byron, what are you doing today?"asked Christopher. "I'm doing coconut cupcakes," replied Byron. "Great!" exclaimed Madeleine.

"How are you, Lily?"asked Christopher. "Fine thank you!"replied Lily."I'm making colourful cupcakes!!"she smiled. "Lovely!"remarked Mrs Pactches.

"Hello," said Sonny Barker, "I'm making sticky toffee muffins." "They sound delicious!"said Christopher.

"Arrrrggggghhhhhhh!!!!!!!!" cried Byron. Madeleine rushed over."What's the matter!"she asked. "I dropped my eggs on the floor!"

"Here, quickly! Take some of mine!"said Sonny, handing Byron the eggs."Thanks so much!"said Byron.

" You only have FIVE MINUTES LEFT!" Madeleine reminded them.

"I'm just doing my icing, then I'm done!"Lily said. "Your time is UP!!"said Madeleine.

"Please bring your cakes up to the table," said Mrs Patches.

"Let's start with Esme," smiled Christopher. "Mmmm, the jam and cream is perfect and your sponge is moist, well done!!" Mrs Patches said.

"Now we're onto Byron." said Madeleine. "The flavour of coconut really comes through, and your icing is very smooth." Mrs Patches said.

"You're next Lily!" said Mrs Patches. "Your sponge is light and fluffy and the colourful icing looks beautiful!" Christopher said.

"Wow! Such a lovely sticky toffe taste! Well done!" smiled Mrs Patches. "Now we have to make our decision."...

"We have made our decision. The person going through to the final is.... Lily!!!

"Well done!" said Esme, Byron and Sonny.

"I can't believe it!" Lily says."It's amazing!!!"

Lock Keepers Cottage Review

You already know who my favourite family are, but it's time to let you know what my favourite building is. My favourite building is this:

I ordered it a few weeks ago but they took a while to arrive. Inside the box was the sticker sheet and instructions in very good condition!

The cottage came with some great accessories:

Inside, quite a few of the stickers are damaged, but I don't really care.

This is now where Captain Horatio Seadog lives.

But he doesn't live their alone:

Polly the Parrot lives with him! The next picture I love sooooooooo much, I am now using it as my profile picture instead of the Madeleine Merryweather pic!

I have also spelled out "Seadog" using the flags!!

I absolutely ADORE this set even though Captain Seadog isn't actually included! Polly is very collect able and is SUPER CUTE!!!

Nettlefield Family Profile

Father Ramsey

Ramsey Nettlefield brings in home baking to sell at the Country Market Tea Rooms. He stands at the doorway and welcomes everybody, which is a good way to show off his beard, which is very proud of!

Mother Caprina

Caprina Nettlefield works at the prescription counter at the Country Market. She grows herbs in the back garden, and then adds them to her husband's cakes to give them a fresh taste.

William, Nanette and Norris Nettlefield*

This terrible trio are always under your feet. Once they get to know you, they follow you everywhere!
One time they ruined their birthday surprise by following their dad into their parents room where they saw their mum wrapping it!!

*Norris Nettlefield is a made up character, I just ended up with a couple of extra babies;)

Bluebell Cottage review

Bluebell Cottage has always been special to me. And not entirely in a good way. It started in Christmas 2013...

I was shopping in my local Tesco ( type of supermarket ) and I noticed they had Sylvanians. At the time, I didn't have the Blackcurrant Café or Bluebell Cottage. I thought I would get one of them, but I didn't know which one to get. I eventually chose the Blackcurrant Café because it came with furniture unlike Bluebell Cottage. To make the two sets better value Tesco had added a figure in the box. The figure for the B Café was Teri Chocolate. The figure for B Cottage was a nameless brown mouse sister and desk and chair.

A year later I realised that had made terrible choice. The brown mouse sister was a fairly uncommon EasyBuy figure. I had been kicking myself ever since. Until now...

When I opened the box I saw this leaflet inside:

So I was VERY lucky when I found it on eBay.

The mouse sister is adorable!

I have named her Heather Hazelwood. Here is the house in Hazelnut Hollow:

Overall, a lovely looking building, and just a great addition to my collection!
